This title is a generic fighting anime with a few added twists into it, some of which work (such as people turning into swords) and some that do not (introducing characters who seem to be main characters starting character development and then dropping them from the cast). The sacred blacksmith is a series with many problems. Cecily as the main lead has shown growth but this is unfortunately obscured by her annoying personality. The characters have a fairly simplistic design, which means that the characters generally look simple and would fit in more in a setting where the fantasy aspect isn't so heavy. Unfortunately, it seems most battles end with her as the damsel in distress…

Too many questions left unanswered with lots of unexplored possibilities. Despite only being a 12 episodes series, the sacred blacksmith is mostly lacking in an overarching plot. Instead, we end up with a rather nonsensical villain whose motives are confusing and a hurried attempt at creating a climax. Even the character design works well in this fantasy setting so this series does give us something really good to.
